High acceleration motion of a feed drive system of NC machine tools causes trajectory error of the tool tip because of mechanical vibration. To overcome these problems, we propose a servo control method to minimize the motion error of the tool tip based on mechanical models among driven force, feedback position and tool tip position. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through an experiment of the model identification and a numerical simulation of corner trajectory.
